Teaching my teen how to drive
admin2022-11-05T06:35:58+00:00Teens choose their parents to teach them driving. If you ask a teen “whom do you want to learn driving with, your parent or a complete stranger?” they will say “my parent”, and it makes perfect sense. Learning to drive a car is not an easy task for the kid, mentally speaking. Nobody wants to be in a car with a total stranger looking at you as your nerves kick in.
Surely most driving instructors are professionals, and they try their best to deal with those feelings, but I am sure it is easier with a parent, it just is.
Undoubtedly parents also love to teach their kids. As a parent myself, looking back i remember teaching my kids to talk, to eat, to walk, to get dress, to read, to behave, to play games, to avoid danger, to ride a bike and pretty much all that i know, the list is endless. But when it comes to driving a car, you start having second thoughts.
Yes it would be wonderful to be there with your lovely teen, in the car, watching him/her experience new things and intense feelings for the first time, their dramatic reactions, their screaming, their eyes and mouth wide open, the firm grip on the wheel and at the end that huge smile of accomplishment as they turn towards you.
It is a parent’s dream, but it can turn in to a nightmare in a split of a second. Even a small scratch on the bumper can destroy the moment. To be fare it is very likely to happen, and the probability of that accident is putting you off.
But it doesn’t have to be like this, don’t despair, you have the skills and the experience to avoid the accident, you just need to hit the brake and save the moment. Learnerbrake is there, in front of you ready and responsive, feels and acts like the driver’s brake and slows down or stops the car immediately. Learnerbrake is the safety net that you can provide.
Scrap your doubts, no need for second thoughts, take two minutes to install it and start teaching the right way, the safe way. Make the dream happen.
